Carbon Offset
As part of our Nature-based Solutions program, One Tree Planted offers carbon offsets from new and existing projects. These offsets extend far beyond sequestering carbon, providing multi-generational co-benefits for nature, people and biodiversity. Learn more
Our Nature-based Solution Projects are:
- Third-party certified carbon offsets
- Protecting habitats and local communities
- Supporting reforestation for years to come
- Fighting global warming and climate change through carbon emission reduction
- At One Tree Planted, we define success as delivering multi-generational co-benefits — not just maximizing carbon yield. Because of this, our Nature-based solution projects generate long-term impacts that reach far beyond carbon sequestration — including restoring biodiversity, uplifting communities, building sustainable livelihoods, and other key co-benefits. These projects also offer direct carbon financing so that we can continue to scale and strengthen our planting partner relationships.
- A personalized tree certificate (see gallery) indicating your purchase of offsets. The certificate verifies that your purchase will be registered with the Climate Action Reserve. One Tree Planted retires carbon credits through this process on a monthly basis, and we will send you the registration number via email within approximately 30 days of your purchase.
- Carbon offsets are voluntary buy-ins that allow you to trade your hard-earned dollars for the ability to reduce your carbon footprint. Thanks to our holistic Nature-based Solutions program, the carbon credits that we offer naturally generate benefits that extend far beyond sequestering carbon. This facet of the program specifically aims to make it simple for anyone to offset their emissions.
