- Nearly 40% of Spain is covered in lush, expansive forests – and 50% is farmland. This lush, fertile land is threatened by tree loss, which is exacerbated by tree loss. Planting trees in Spain will help promote regenerative agriculture, creating more resilient, diversified lands. Reforestation will offer hope for the environment and for people who call this beautiful country home.
As tree planting costs are higher in Spain, we have aligned our costs to make sure we're creating an impact. We plant one tree for every $2.50 USD donated.
- The trees planted across Spain will help provide a diversified food and income source for the local communities, safeguarding natural beauty and ecological diversity while also contributing to the economic health of the region. The area under restoration is a biodiversity hotspot, and planting trees here will promote healthy ecosystem, directly impacting wildlife species. Our reforestation partners in Spain are also working hard to improve soil health, ensuring healthy farmlands for generations to come.
