Are you a locally led organization that restores land by growing trees? If you operate in one of TerraFund for AFR100’s three target landscapes, you can apply for $50,000 to $500,000 USD in funding between April 5 and May 5, 2023.
AFR100, or the African Forest Landscape Restoration Initiative, is a massive, country-led effort to bring 100 million hectares of land in Africa into restoration by 2030. In 2022, Terrafund for AFR100 funded the top 100 projects in 27 African countries — these projects are on the path to restoring 20,000 hectares of land.
This year TerraFund for AFR100 is launching its new application cycle for restoration champions in three key restoration landscapes; Kenya’s Greater Rift Valley, the Lake Kivu & Rusizi River Basin, and the Ghana Cocoa Belt!

We are looking for locally led organizations within these regions to join us in restoring these landscapes. Expressions of interest for funding are open on the TerraMatch platform from April 5, 2023 to May 5, 2023.
