One Tree Planted is all about stories; those of the forests, individuals, and communities we build. With these short videos, we want to spread a hopeful message that inspires individuals and businesses to take action and make an impact.
Our videos highlight our projects and demonstrate how planting trees is more than just restoring forests after wildfires or clear-cutting. For even more great video stories, check out our Youtube channel.
Restoring Legacy Mined Lands in Appalachia
The Appalachian region has some of the richest temperate forests in the world. Coal mining has been an economic driver since the 1700 and1800’s, but with mining, there have been major impacts on the environment such as habitat loss, water and air pollution, and safety issues.
Here's how we're restoring the forest.
Mangrove Forest Restoration in Guatemala
Discover our Guatemala mangrove restoration project, in collaboration with the Rainforest Alliance and Caterpillar Foundation. The initiative aims to restore all the mangrove areas both inside and outside of Manchon Guamuchal. We speak to Hugo Leonardo Barrios Colomo, a mangrove caretaker, who explains that they have been working as a group to achieve the objective.
