Quality Projects
Reforestation proposals are submitted to us by local planting organizations. These could be grassroots conservation groups, governmental stewardship organizations, global conservation organizations, and more.
When vetting projects, we assess several aspects that are essential to success, including secure land tenure, meaningful stakeholder engagement, informed species selection and seed sourcing, appropriate restoration methodology, community engagement, awareness of potential risks to young trees, plans necessary site preparations, proposed maintenance, and more.
Project Reporting
After the trees are planted, they are maintained and monitored, with the assistance of our monitoring experts, to help ensure optimal growth and long-term survival.
Depending on partner capabilities and project specifics, we employ a variety of methods and technologies to support monitoring and documentation — including using apps, drones, geo-tagged photos, video, and site visits from our staff.

Caring Family Foundation
In 2021, The Caring Family Foundation pledged to plant 1 million trees in Brazil’s rainforests in partnership with One Tree Planted. On Earth Day, 22 April 2023, TCFF was proud to announce that the target has been achieved, with 1 million trees planted across the Amazon and Atlantic forests.
This commitment has created over 300 jobs and seen 100 families involved, whilst restoring deforested areas, biodiversity and water springs.
Cotton-On Foundation
Cotton On Group is an Australian retail company, known for its fashion clothing and stationery brands. As of 2020, it has over 1,500 stores in 18 countries employing 22,000 people across seven brandsIn 2022. This year, Cotton On Foundation (via Cotton On Group) pledged to plant 1M trees with One Tree Planted globally.
Throughout the month of April, customers could support the campaign by purchasing Cotton On Foundation products or making a donation, online or in Cotton On stores around the globe. Through an integrated media campaign and POS, the foundation surpassed their fundraising goal.
Baker Hughes Foundation
Together, working with the Baker Hughes Foundation, we’ve planted 1 million trees together across 15 different countries in the past couple of years.
From preserving culture of indigenous people in the High Andes Polylepsis Forest to restoring the longleaf pine species in Texas, The Baker Hughes Foundation has made incredible strides for reforestation.
