Guardians of Mau Forest

The Stick Effect: Environment Education, Now 100% More Stick-y

Silver Winner in the Awareness: Sustainability, Environment & Climate category—Best Creator Collaboration

Silver Winner in the Community Engagement: Sustainability, Environment & Climate category—Partnership or Collaboration

In a saturated social world, breaking through with a message about trees demands bold creativity. So we approached Official Stick Reviews with an unexpected idea: reimagine trees as the "original stick factories." Together we engaged Stick Nation—a massive, passionate community—with three playful videos that made reforestation personal, relevant, and fun. By meeting people in their world, we invited them into ours—where forests aren't just landscapes, but living systems vital to our future.

Global Restoration, Human Transformation

Bronze Winner in the Awareness: Sustainability, Environment & Climate category—Short-Form Video

This video reframed reforestation and land restoration as a human story—one that crosses borders and human condition. It revealed how planting trees can restore degraded land, rebalance ecosystems, and uplift lives. By weaving together diverse voices from Rwanda, Costa Rica, and America with poetic visuals and music, we showed that reforestation is not just an environmental act—it’s essential to human wellbeing, shared prosperity, and global solidarity.

“This has been a challenging year for the impact sector, but the Winners of the 5th Annual Anthem Awards have shown their resilience and continued commitment to a better tomorrow,” said Anthem Awards General Manager, Patricia McLoughlin. “This year’s winners are a source of hope, and I am excited to celebrate their work with the world today.”

“Stories have a way of sticking with us—opening our eyes and moving us to act,” said Marie Jones, Chief Strategy and Marketing Communications Officer at One Tree Planted. “Visual storytelling has always been at the heart of what we do, and it will continue to be. This year, our team has been digging deep to find powerful ways to show the impact on the ground—working with digital creators, exploring new mediums, and bringing forests, communities, and people to life in ways that resonate. These awards are a wonderful recognition, but what truly matters is that our stories inspire understanding, connection, and real change for the planet.”

The 5th Annual Anthem Awards received more than 2,000 submissions from 42 countries worldwide. By amplifying the voices that spark global change, they are defining a new benchmark for impactful work that inspires others to take action in their communities.
