WORKING COLLECTIVELY TO COMBAT DEFORESTATION, ONE
SCHOOL AT A TIME.
When you sign your class, club, group of friends or school up to fundraise with One Tree Planted, you have the ability to make a big impact. Every dollar donated plants one tree, and collectively, schools can drive environmental change. If every school in America raised $500, we could plant over 65 million trees together.
We're on a mission to give students the opportunity to see how their actions impact the real world around them. While it may seem daunting to talk about climate change and sustainability at home, it’s important to remember how significant this will be in the next generation's lifetimes. Together, we are working to help this generation of environmental stewards understand the natural world around them - and why it is so important to conserve it.
interested in organizing your own tree planting event at school? we can help!
While it is essential for students today to learn and understand the natural environment, we believe it's just as important to get outside and get your hands in the dirt!
That's why we've taken the initiative of helping schools, near and far, set up their very own tree planting events in their local communities. We'll set you up by getting you in touch with an appropriate point of contact and teach you all the tricks to get trees in the ground that flourish for years to come!
As One Tree Planted has grown we’ve seen how important it is for people of all ages to learn about the benefits of reforestation, but noticed a gap in children’s education.
This is why we are bringing reforestation to students by educating them about what’s happening, where it’s happening, and why it’s happening.
With this program we want to teach students the role trees and reforestation have in creating a healthier, more stable climate, and inspire them to take positive action against deforestation and environmental degradation.
We have designed our lessons, modules, and activities to get kids talking the talk and walking the walk. Not only should students learn about climate change and its effects, they should also be given the tools to take action and improve the environment around them in a way that’s fun and easy to understand.
Our unique tools fortify our school programs to be ensure that students are having fun while learning. Check out the video below as an example of a tool that is tied to our "Carbon Footprint" Elementary School module.
