Global reforestation nonprofit One Tree Planted announced today that its Meet the Moment campaign has won a People’s Voice Award at the 30th annual Webby Awards in the Advertising, Media & PR - Sustainability & Environment category.

Meet the Moment asked a question that is more urgent now than ever: what if, instead of accepting ecological decline as inevitable, we dare to envision a brighter future? One where land is restored, biodiversity is protected, and people live in reciprocity with nature. The video campaign was a call to act, to plant, and to restore.

With 13,000+ entries from over 70 countries, and over 4.6 million votes from 940,000+ people in this year’s Webby Awards, this recognition shows that when given the choice, people will vote for nature.

Chosen entirely by the public, The Webby People’s Voice Award is powerful proof of public sentiment and cultural relevance. This win reflects how deeply restoration work has taken root in the everyday decisions people make about where to spend their money and which stories they choose to amplify. More than ever, public sentiment is market behavior.

“One Tree Planted isn’t just shaping the Internet—they’re redefining it,” said Nick Borenstein, General Manager of The Webby Awards. “This honor celebrates the fearless creativity and sharp execution that make their work an unmistakable force online.”

“To receive this recognition on the eve of Earth Day feels especially meaningful.” said Marie Jones, Chief Strategy and Marketing Communications Officer at One Tree Planted. “The campaign was created as a call to action at exactly the moment the world needs it most: an invitation to change course, to heal and restore the planet, because we can.”

One Tree Planted will be honored at the 30th Annual Webby Awards in New York City on May 11th, alongside organizations like Claude, Gap, Tiffany & Co, HBO MAX (with Razorfish), Cash App, Axios, UNICEF, and The National Park Service’s Katmai National Park.

Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet.

Hosted by comedian and creator Josh Johnson, the Webby Awards’ star-studded ceremony celebrates the best of the Internet. Fans can follow and watch show highlights, including hallmark 5-Word Speeches from the night’s big winners on May 11th by following The Webby Awards @thewebbyawards on Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok and on YouTube.
