FOREST FIRE RESTORATION

REFORESTATION IN NORTH AMERICA

One Tree Planted has planted trees in more than a dozen US states and across three Canadian provinces. Our projects restore forests in the wake of major wildfires like those in Paradise, California; repair damage caused by industry and resource extraction; and even support the endangered Southern Resident Orca of the Pacific Northwest.

  • Support our North American projects to restore forests in the wake of major wildfires.
  • Protect and support endangered wildlife species.
  • Gift trees in North America to support 10+ projects including those in California, British Columbia. Colorado, Québec and Mexico.

REFORESTATION IN LATIN AMERICA

One Tree Planted's projects in Latin America are rebuilding forests and restoring land so the benefits of healthy tropical forests can be felt around the world. Our partners work with communities impacted by deforestation so they benefit from improved forest management practices and agricultural techniques like agroforestry. This also ensures the trees and land are taken care of for generations to come, and the forests can continue to thrive.

  • Support local communities that are directly impacted by deforestation so that they can benefit from improved forest management practices and agricultural techniques like agroforestry.
  • Conserve Latin America's habitat and its iconic wildlife species while and stabilizing the climate.
  • Gift trees in Latin America to help support reforestation in Brazil, the Amazon Rainforest, Haiti, Guatemala, the Andes and Honduras.

REFORESTATION IN AFRICA

One Tree Planted's focus in Africa is on rebuilding animal habitat, restoring soil and critical watersheds, all while improving the lives of the communities who rely on the forests the most. Our planting partners promote agroforestry and educate farmers on the benefits of improved forestry practices, providing communities with sustainable sources of food, wood, and income.

  • Provide the local community with the knowledge and tools needed to create a sustainable, diverse economy for future generations
  • Support projects that work to protect, conserve, and restore degraded land and forests.
  • Gift trees in Africa to support our projects and help support reforestation in Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania.

REFORESTATION IN ASIA + THE PACIFIC

One Tree Planted's projects across Asia are helping rebuild the habitat of critically endangered species like orangutans, tigers, and more than 1,700 species of birds. Meanwhile our projects in Australia and New Zealand are restoring forests following the destruction of the Black Summer bushfires; are rejuvenating critical habitat for wildlife like koalas and cockatoos; and safeguarding community watersheds through restoration of indigenous tree species.

  • Rebuild the habitat of critically endangered species.
  • Restore forests following the destruction of the  bushfires in Australia.
  • Gift trees in Asia to support reforestation in Indonesia, India, the Philippines, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand.
