Carbon Offset
As part of our Nature-based Solutions program, One Tree Planted offers carbon offsets from US-based third-party projects, certified by the Climate Action Reserve. These credits derive from projects focused on forest preservation and sustainable forest management, and prevent their conversion for agricultural purposes.
The projects extend far beyond reducing and sequestering carbon, providing multi-generational co-benefits for nature, people and biodiversity.

- At One Tree Planted, we define success as delivering multi-generational co-benefits — not just maximizing carbon yield. Because of this, the carbon offsets we offer originate from projects that generate long-term impacts that reach far beyond carbon sequestration — including conserving native forests, restoring biodiversity, protecting watersheds, and providing habitat for large mammals.
- A personalized tree certificate (see gallery) indicating your purchase of offsets. The certificate verifies that your purchase will be registered with the Climate Action Reserve. One Tree Planted retires carbon credits through this process on a monthly basis. Following your purchase, you will receive a Notification of Credits Retirement within 30 days, by email. This will include the credit’s serial numbers.
